Aquaponics

I first began experimenting with small-scale aquaponics systems several years ago. if you’re not familiar with aquaponics, it is essentially a system that utilizes the nutrients in fish waste to fertilize plants. Water is cycled from the fish tank into grow beds that flood and drain, returning oxygenated water back to the fish. I recently taught a course on aquaponics where students prototyped aquaponics systems of various scales.
